Macerich, owner of Tysons Corner Center, plans 4 new construction high-rises as well as 4 new office buildings totalling 1.4 million square feet, a 300-room hotel, and almost 200,000 square feet of service oriented retail.  The multiphase project is being designed to enhance the mall and turn it into a pedestrian friendly place over the next 10 - 15 years.  Four Metro stops are planned for the Tysons area with one expected across the street from Tysons Corner Center.
